Pearl Harbor occurs on this day. It was a true tragedy. The American people were not expecting this at all. Many lives were lost by the complete air attack by the Japanese. There were many factors that went into what happened that day.

Due to the attacks on Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans are sent to camps so they can not contact the Japanese Government.

This war was the turning point for the war in the Pacific because the US were not only able to win the battle, 4 japanese carriers were sank while only 1 us one was bombed and sank. It didn't matter who owned the territory there, it was more of a moral victory. The losses of Japanese people to US people was outstanding.
