    World War II starited on September 1, 1939, when Hitler refused to abort an invasion of Poland, causing France and Britain to call for war agianst Germany.

    During World War II, Churchill become Prime Minister of Britain.

  • Battle of Britain

    Churchill lead Britain to victory in this battle and caused Hitler to postphone his invasion plans.

  • Coventry Bombing

    Churchill made the decision to let Coventry be bombed so the Nazis would not discover that they knew the enigma.

  • Lend-Lease Act

    Churchill convinced Roosevelt to sign the Lend-Lease Act, allowing Britain to use military supplies from the United States.

    The Atlantic Charter was signed, making several principles which both Churchill and Roosevelt would be responsible of in the postwar world.
