Japan started to plan its way to conquer Southeast Asia in 1931,by 1937 they began with Manchuria and kept brutally attacking China.In September 27,1940, Japan signed the Triparite Pact with Italy and Germany which was a millitary aillance.Forcing Japanese forces to withdraw from Manchuria and China.Japan attacked the US and the British forces giving them the chance to finally conquer Southeast Asia. Germany's Invasion of Poland
Hitler wanted to regain lost terrioty and final rule over Poland, on September 1, 1939, he had German forces to blast Poland with bombs.Two days later Britian and France joined the fight against Germany trying to help Poland.The help was of no use since had gonna control of Polnad.The only way was with the help of Soviet Union joinning on Steptember 7,1939. German Blitzkrieg 1939-1940
German Blitzberg was a millitary tactic used by Germany to create disorganization for enemy forces.They used this tactic against Poland,France,Belgium,and the Netherlands in 1940.The military forces of these four countries were defeated by Germany within less than six weeks.A year later it was used to attach the Soviet Union, making the Germany foces to take up to six months to reache the Gates of Moscow.This tactic only work for Germany within the first years of World War II. Operation Barbarossa
Hilter sent armies towards the east of Germany to invade the Soviet Union. Operation Barbarossa would be one of the failures for Nazi Germany focring them to fight two-front wars at the same time.The bigger mistake that Germany made was to come as the country to conquer.They also wanted to enslave the Slavic population as they tried invading the Soviet Union.By March of 1942, Operation Barbarossa had to come to a stop because it was a failed and two other wars. Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor was an attack on the naval base in Hawaii by the Japanese military. The attack was a surprise on the US Navy and also the government. It left several damages to the American fleet. The attack left about 2,400 Americans killed and around 1,250 injured Americans from the battleships that were attacked. Soon, after the US declared war on Japan for attacking the Pearl Harbor. Wannsee Conference
The Nazi Party and German officials met at the Villa in Berlin at Wannsee.They would discuss what they called the final solution that needed to be solved.The final solution was about htey would get rid of the Jews in Europe.This was where Hitler had gonna the idea of mass murder in Europe.They tried to get support for the idea.Many of the conference members already knew about the mass murder in German areas. Operation Gomorrah
Operation Gomorrah was a bombin for a week where hamburg was attacked by Britain by night and America by day.Britain bombed Germany because Germany had bombed them before.Britian came up with a ways to distrbute the radars and for the US had two raids during the day to attack Germany.The attacks would continue until November of that year.Hilter wouldn't want to go visit the cities that were bombed because he was effected by the attacks. Battle of the Bulge
Germany tried its lat skim to divde the British and US troops once an for all. December 16,1944, German troops went through with the plan and fought with the US troops as there was a de;ay and gave the US a better chance.The Germand troops were not lasting as very long since some of them died on the way there.Later on December 26,1943,British and US troops did a counterattacke dto get rid of the Bulge.At this time Germany would end up losing more territory by 1945. Operation Thunderclap was a code name for the bombing of Dresden.It was a series of bombing from ailles forces that attacked on the German city of Dresden.It was one of the most destructive bombing during World War II.Since the Germans were on the verge of surrender from the war.At the Yalta Conference they would talk about the results of the bombing on the city and country. The Battle of Iwo Jima between Americans and the Japanese fighting over the island that would be a naval base near Japan.Bonin chain was near by around 500 miles, this was where the battle happened in rough terrain that was occupied by the Japanese.About a month after arriving Americans were able to defeat the Japanese troops, and the right to proclaim the island as a American Naval base. Battle of Okinawa
The Battle of Okinawa was the last the stand of the Japanese forces in World War II it also lasted until June. They had sent the Hapan defened the it's self from the assulats of the US. Most of the battle had suicidical air strikes that led to many casualities.I t was know as the Kamikaze attacks. By 1945, the US Gained control Okinawa in Japan by mid-June. VE Day
This was the day that Britain and the US celebrate over the victory in Europe.It was when the German troops surrender throughout all of Europe.German troops wanted to stay away from the Soviets because they didn't want to be taken as prisoners.When they went to fight in the West some troops were stopped by Soviets adn taken prisoners. Dropping of the atomic bombs
August 6,1945, was the day that the US bombed Japan with atomic bombs.It was all the aftermath of Peral Harbor becaus the US wouldn't go in vain.The first bomb was dropped on Hiroshoma and the second one three days later was in Nagasaki. More than a thousand people died from the bomb.These were the only atomic bombs dropped during World War II. -
VJ Day
August 14,1945, was the day that Japan surrender to ailles and had left World War II.This was known as victoryover Japan from August 14-August 15.Japan surrender because they couldn't find a victory over all the battles over them.They were very devasted from the aftermath of Pearl Harbor.September 2,1945, was the formal surrender on the U.S.S.
