    The Soviet Union invades Finland which initiates the winter war. The Finland people ceded the shores of Lake Lagoda to the Soviet Union. They were heavily outnumbered by the soviets which lead to a peace treaty called the Treaty of Moscow.

    On June 22, France signs an agreement where the Germans occupy the northern half of the country and the Atlantic coastline. In southern France,a regime is established.They took over Luxembourg on May 10, the Netherlands and Belgium both surrender one on may 14th then one 14 days later.

    Pearl harbor is a navel U.S. base in Hawaii and on December 7th, Japanese fighter planes had started to damage 28 american navel ships and over 300 airplanes. 2,400 Americans died and another 1000 wounded. FDR then went to congress to declare war on japan.
