Britain and France declared war on Germany two days later, which is said to have marked the entrance of Europe into WWII. This would lead to events such as France partition between Germany and the Soviet Union, evolution of Nazi Germany, The Battle of Britain, and other events throughout the 1940's. Eventually, other European countries such as Norway, Denmark, adn Italy will join in the war and create the Allied and Axis powers.

Brunswick was one of sixteen ports chosen to provide supplies for the allied forces in Europe. Brunswick and Savannah shipyards were a way for the Unitred States to be involved in teh war effort and assist their allies without directly going onto battlefields.

As American forces began arriving in Europe, a reverse Lend-Lease program went into play in order for the other allied powers to supply the US with the materials it needed.

After assembly lines began functioning in the spring of 1943, Bell employees supplied the U.S. Army Air Forces with aircrafts. The production facility was closed after WW2 until 1951. The Bell-trained managers and laborers proved that southerners were capable of important industrial work.
