The Japanese planned a surprise attack on the U.S. base in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Over 2000 Americans were killed and crippled the Pacific Fleet. Americans became involved and joined the war against Japan. -

The 2nd bombing as revenge from the U.S. from what happened to Pearl Harbor. -
