Adolf Hitler becomes leader of the Nazi Party. Party opposed treaty of Versailles. He was one of the best speakers of the party and told members to make him leader or he would never return.

Benito Mussolini appointed Prime Minister of Italy. He promised to restore order through strong leadership. In October threatened to overthrow Italy's elected government. He eneded freemdom of the press and banned all political oarties except his own.
