  • Kepler published "Astronomia Nova"

    Kepler published "Astronomia Nova". This contained his first and second laws. The first one is that the path that the planets go around the sun is located at one focus. The second is that an imaginary line that is drawn from the center of the planet will take out equal intervals of time.
  • Rene Descartes publishes Geometry

    Rene Descartes published geometry. He showed that motion could be represented on a graph, and other geometric ideas. This impacted math forever and made solving problems much easier.
  • Galileo passes away

    Galileo was guilty after a papal trial and placed under house arrest. Anything he did was restricted by the pope. He stayed in his house for eight years. During that he went blind, suffered from a bad hernia, and insomnia. They allowed him to go to Florence for medical help. He got a terrible fever, followed by heart palpitations and passed away in 1642. His death impacted the world because he did many important things including the use of a telescope and helped the world in many different ways.

    Isaac Newton was an english physicist. He was also a mathematician. He was a very important and big part of the scientific revolution. His birth was impactful to the world because he went on to do many crucial things like invent calculus, explain optics, and develop the laws of motion. He helped form the way we see the world today and without him we may not understand all the things we do today.

    Isaac Newton discovered that light is made up of colors, specifically all the ones in the rainbow. This led him to find out that light is made up of 7 different colors. This impacted the world because it changed the way we looked at colors and light.
  • Salem Witch Trials

    The Salem witch trials was a period of time where people were accused of witchcraft and prosecuted in Massachusetts. They claimed that these women were possessed by the devil and were then killed. This was a very impactful moment in history. It lead to changes in court laws, and changed the way of thinking to people are "innocent until proven guilty."
