the soldiers came to Laura Secord's house asking for billet and informed her about their plan on launching a surprise attack
early in the morning, Secord began her journey to warn the British about the Americans' intention to attack them
Laura Secord had to walk 20 kilometres and through an area called the Black Swamp. Here, she became drenched and exhausted from her tiring journey. She was successful in her warning to the British, as they were now prepared for battle. 1813
