William Golding was born on September 19 1911. He was born in Cornwall, England. Golding was not a nice kid, and often bullied other students. He unsuccesfully tried to write a book when he was 12.

Golding started teaching in 1935. He taught Philosophy and English. He wrote his book, Lord of the Flies, after the bad kids in his classes.
