        William Golding was born on September 19, 1911. He was born in the town of Newquay, United Kingdom. William's birth parents were Alec and Mildred Golding. - 
  
  
        William went to Marlborough Grammar School in Wiltshire from 1921 - 1930. For college, Golding attended Brasenose College, in Oxford. -
