  William Golding was born in 1911. It's a boy!!

  Golding began attending Brasenose College at Oxford in 1930 and spent two years studying science, but then switched to the literature program.

  William Golding published his first novel in 1934. The novel was named "Poems". The collection was overlooked by many critics.

  In 1935, Golding graduated from Oxford. He got a Bachelor of Arts in English and a diploma in education.

  Golding abandoned his writing to join the Royal Navy. He fought in WW II.

  After the war Golding camw back home to go back to teaching and writing.

  Golding, after being rejected 21 times, published his most acclaimed book. He published the book, Lord of The Flies.

  At the age of 73, Golding won a Nobel Peace Prize.

  In 1988, Golding was knighted by Queen Elizibeth II.

  He died on June 9th in 1993. He died in Perranarworthal, Cornwall, England.
