    When he was 12 years old he tried to write his first novel and he was unsuccessful. But that didn´t stop him.

    His dad waned his to be a scientist, but William had his eyes on English.Made some poetry.

    In 1935 he started teaching English, as well as Philosophy.He was in Salisbury.

    So Golding quit teaching. He also joining the Royal Navy
