    On May 17th, 1954, the U.S. Supreme Court bans segregation in all schools in the U.S.
  • Emmet Till

    On August 28th, 1955, 14 year old African-American boy Emmet Till is kidnapped and brutally murdered after flirting with a white cashier.
  • Rosa Parks

    African-American women Rosa Parks refuses to give up here seat on the white section of the bus and get's arrested because of it.
  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    Organized by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. the Montgomery Bus Boycott is a movement to desegregate public buses all over America.

    On September 15th, 1963, Klan members Robert Chambliss, Charles Cagle, and John W. Hall planted a bomb in 16th Street Baptist Church, it exploded and killed four little girls.

    On September 15th, 1963, the same day as the Birmingham Church Bombing, Virgil Ware is killed by white youth and Johnny Robinson is killed by a white police man.

    On May 22nd, 2002, Bobby Cherry is charged with 4 accounts of 1st degree murder.

    On November 18th, 2004, Bobby Cherry died in prison from cancer.

    In the Spring of 2007, Carolyn and Dr. Neal raise $4 million dollars in a fundraiser for the 16th Street Baptist Church.
