Week 3 Timeline 1

  • Niels Bohr

    Niels Bohr
He was an achieved physicist who came up with a theory of the atomic molecule structure and radiation release. He became the nobel prize winning for his ideas and his work accomplished as responsible and peaceful during the Manhattan Project in the US and his atomic energy made it across the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuOs25Qus2I&ab_channel=TheNationalWWIIMuseum
  • Early Life and Career

Bohr attended Copenhagen University and majored in physics and studied as a Professor at Christian Christiansen which he was the only physics professor at the time. He also studied in astronomy and mathematics. He received his master's and doctorate in physics in 1911. During that year he also worked at the Cavendish Laboratory.
  • Bohr Model

    Bohr Model
Bohr proposed his Atomic Model which was baded on quatum mechanics. His model contained some minor errors because it had features of the atomic theory with high levels compared to the math version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1LDJUu4nko&ab_channel=Don%27tMemorise
  • Nobel Prize

He received the 1922 Nobel Prize in Phsyics for his work on atomic structures and worked with Werner Heisenberg and fellow scientists and presented at an Italian conference in 1927. His atomic level was differently and his concepts would apply to his philosophical ideas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqtZgMAYz2w&ab_channel=TheUniversityofManchester
  • Peace for Bohr

Bohr made more peaceful applications of atomic energy. His "Open Letter to the United Nations", Bohr envisioned an open world of existence between two countries that was abandoned by isolationism for exchange of true cultural. Bohr passed away at the age of 77 due to a stroke. Bohr was a creative writer and had more than 100 publications.
