  • Constitution is Ratified

    When the constitution was ratified, only Adult Males who own Property could vote.
  • Religious qualifications dropped

    Religion no longer has anything to do with voting.
  • Property requirements dropped

    Almost all white males could vote by now, you don't even have to own property or pay property taxes.
  • 15th Amendment

    Gave former slaves the right to vote, Protected White Male Voting Rights
  • 19th Amendment

    The people get more voting power- they now elect the state Senate
  • 23rd Amendment

    District of Columbia can VOTE!
  • 24th Amendment

    Poll Tax NO LONGER REQUIRED! WOOOHOOO less taxes!
  • Voting Rights Act of 1965

    Minority Voters no longer had to take literacy tsts, etc., to be able to vote.
  • 26th Amendment

    18!!!!!!!!! You can vote now as long as you're at least 18
