  • Ratification of the Constitution

    White male property owners were the only people who had the right to vote.
  • Religious Qualifications dropped

    People are not judged on their religious beliefs, able to vote.
  • Property Requirements Dropped

    Any white adult male can vote, dont have to own land, etc.
  • 15th Amendment

    It gives slaves the right to vote and gives voting rights to adult male citizens of any race.
  • 19th Amendment

    Gives women the right to vote!!
  • 23rd Amendment

    District of Columbia can participate in presidential elections.
  • 24th Amendment

    Bans the poll tax as being a requirement in the elections.
  • Voting Rights Act of 1965

    Protects the rights of minorities, and gets rid of barriers such as the literary test.
  • 26th Amendment

    Sets the age to be 18 to vote.
