    former slaves/men of any race can vote
  • 1920 - 19th Amendment

    women can vote
  • 1961- 23rd Amendment

    Washington DC can participate in voting
  • 1964- 24th Amendment

    bans poll tax
  • 1965 - Voting Rights Act of 1965

    voting is open to everyone/bans literacy tests etc.
  • 1971- 26th Amendment

    minimum voting age is 18
