    Granted African americans to vote

    restricts the district to the number of Electors of the least populous state

  • 24th amendment

    prohibits both Congress and the states from conditioning the right to vote in federal elections

  • Voting Rights Act of 1965

    It eliminated various devices, such as literacy tests, that had traditionally been used to restrict voting by black people.

  • 26th Amendment

    prevented the government from raising the voting age above 18.
