13th Amendment
This is event is important because now we have no slaves. They dont have to be controlled by other people now. -
15th Amendment
This gave male black people an oppertunity to vote for the people running for office. They got to help choose and that was nessisary beacuse who ever is ruling is alo ruling them. -
Laws to take voting rights away African Americans
This is important because the white people didnt want the black people to vote, so they started takeing there voting right away. -
supreme court rules literacy test are constitutional
The court said it was ok for the white people to give blacks test when most of them couldnt read or write. That was unfair towards them. -
grandfather clause unconstitutional
The Granfather clause kept all black people from voting because they couldnt identify there grandfathers because most of them were slaves. -
19th Amendment
Women are now able to vote. This is impotant because noevreybody gets equal voting rights. -
