    Rupert Chawner Brooke was an English poet, who was known for his idealistic poems under Wold War 1. He went to King's College, because he won a scholarship. The pome “the soldier” is a good example of a pome there tells about the “god and proud war”. Ii is about you have to fight for your country, and be proud of it.

    Ruth Comfort Mitchell Young, living from 1882 to 1954, was an American writer. She was born in San Francisco, an her first official pome was in Los Gatos Mail local newspaper. “He went for a soldier”, is about a man, alomost a boy, who is dead during the war. The pome diskribes how terrible it is to send a young men to war, because he can lose life.

    Dulce et decorum
    Wilfred Owen was one of the leading poets in Wold War 1, but he was also a soldier. He wrote realistic pomes about the horrors in the war. An example of his realistic war pomes, is “Dulce et decorum” witch is about the how terrible war is. The pome is about the battlefield, at the horror of war really coms out.

    He was born in Sydney in 1919, he came to England after Wold War 1. In 1931 he went to school at Shrewsbury, and to Trinity College in 1937. He was a pilot, and he was the first to be shot down, he died in January 1943, because he was shot down.
