Valarie started baby sitting and this caused her to like being around kids so she took a child development class and started to read to toddlers at the library once a month and she did this throughout high school.

Valerie made attending training a priority. These training cultivated in interest in the effects of massage on athletes, so Valerie decided to pursue becoming a certified massage therapist.
