    Discovering America
    Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in the year of 1492. On his journey he was hoping to land in Asia, however he discovered a chunk of land far from the continent he strived for, instead he discovered America. This lead to a new life where possibilities that were endless. Columbus not only found new land, he started a new way of life.
  • Jamestown

    The first permanent settlement was established, possibly creating the city/town residential process we go through today.
  • The Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independence refers to the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitling the people to assume any type of political independence. Meaning that everyone is created equal and his or hers beliefs will be protected.
  • Civil War

    Civil War
    The American Civil War started in 1861 and ended in 1865. The battle was held due to a dissagreement between the northern states and southern states about whether slavery should be abolished or not. The result was that freedom was for all, every man was created equal!
  • World War 1

    This major battle took place on the European continent. It lasted a little over 4 years, where almost 9 million soldiers were killed in battle. The conflict between the Allied (Serbia, Russia, France, Romania, Belgium, British Empire, United States, and Italy) and the Axis powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Ottoman Empire) fought to protect the religion and culture for the people who follow Judaism.

    King was born January 15th, 1929 helping with the equality of others and eventually protected rights for the oppressed.

    World War II, also known as the Second World War, was a global war. It is generally considered to have lasted from 1939 to 1945 and was a leading cause to the Great Depression. While the men went to war during this time women would periodically take over. This assisted greatly with the feminist movement.

    The Great Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression. It was the longest, most widespread, and deepest depression of the 20th century. People lived in shacks and food was very scares. For the people it was very demoralizing and many turned to religion and their families. Families would live off enough to feed only one person and getting a job was slim to none.

    When president Barack Obama was elected, an entire new life was shown to the public. When The Deceleration of Independence was passed, it said that all people were created equal but the majority population did not administer these principles. When Obama was elected it was formed into a symbol of overall equality, that all could suceed.
