    CHINESE EXCLUSION ACT,

    Massacre At Wounded Knee
    The Wounded Knee Massacre occurred on December 29, 1890 near Wounded Knee Creek on the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. It was the last battle of the American Indian Wars. No one has an exact acount of what happened but what we know is someone fired a shot mistakenly or on purpose then proceedimg to the masscre of over 300 Lakota Men, Woman, and Children

    Affordable Automobiles (Assembly Line)
    1908 marked a historic year as the automobile was now affordable to most working class citzens. Henry Fords adaptation of the assembly line in factory work helped make the car affordble quickly made and still built to withstand the elements.   • Sinking of the Lusitania

    Sinking of the Lusitania
    On May 7th 1915 a German U-Boat torpedoed the Lusitania without warning, sending 1,198 passengers, including 128 Americans, to their deaths. The Lusitania, as it turned out, was carrying over 4 million rounds of ammunition, which the German Goverment had warned People could happen to pasenger ships.     Pre 1920s teenage dating was very old fashioned and always chaparoned by the girls parents. They were never left alone and rarely were anywhere but in the confines of the girls home, most teens then werent dating but were set to be with people they would soon marry.     Japanese naval fleet captian Yamamoto ordered an attack on Pearl Harbor the US's main Pacific Naval base. The japanese planes got within 200miles of the island undetected and by the time the radar picked them up it was too late.     Rosa Parls and Montgomery Bus Boycott
    Rosa parks an elderly black lady who had sat down in the colored section of a montgomery Alabama city bus had been ordered to move from her seat so that white passengers could sit instead of stand. She failed to comply with his request and was arrested and fined.     The Cuban missile crisis was a 13-day confrontation in October 1962 between the Soviet Union and Cuba on one side and the United States on the other side. It was one of the major confrontations of the Cold War, and is regarded as the moment in which the Cold War came closest to turning into a nuclear conflict.

    The INTERNET was developed during the 1970s by the Department of Defense. In the case of an attack, military advisers suggested the advantage of being able to operate one computer from another terminal.   • Watergate Scandal

    Watergate Scandal
    On June 17,1972 5 men werer arrested for breaking into the demorcratic party main headquarters in the watergate hotel. On them were bugs wire taps recording deviuces and cameras they were sent in to spy. Among the men was one for Richard Nixons heads of staff.The president had ordered of the spying on his competion. The intial coverup was a sucess but a year later in 1973 the issue was brought up to the supreme court and before Nixon could be impeached he resigned.

    Ronald Reagan announced a recipe to fix the nation's economic mess. He claimed an undue tax burden, excessive government regulation, and massive social spending programs hampered growth.     Conflict in Kuwait and Iraq over which America and the U.N. took the task of fighting back against Saddam Hussien.
