  • Lusitania Sinking

    Occurred during World War I. The sinking occurred when Germany waged submarine warfare tactics against the United Kingdom.
  • Treaty of Versailles

    This day, the Treaty of Versailles was signed. This is the treaty that brought World War I to an end.
  • Harlem Renaissance

    The Harlem Renaissance took place in Harlem, Manhattan, and New York City. It lasted throughout the 1920's. It was a time when art and music by people of color flourished.
  • Holocaust

    The Holocaust occurred during World War II. It is mostly known for the genocide of the European Jews. During this time, Nazi Germany had killed off two thirds of Europe's Jewish population.
  • Pearl Harbor

    The attack on Pearl Harbor was against the United States by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service in Honolulu which happened by surprise.
  • D-Day

    D-Day aka Operation Overlord, lasted from June 1944 to August 1944. When British, American, and Canadian forces landed on Normandy beach in France.
  • The Montgomery Bus Boycott

    This protest began in 1955 for civil rights. This began with Rosa Parks which led to African Americans refusing to ride the city buses in Montgomery.
  • "I Have A Dream"

    "I Have A Dream" was a speech that was delivered by Martin Luther King Jr. about civil rights.

    9/11 was a terrorist attack that ended in 2,977 deaths
