  • Mt. Saint Helen Erupts

    On May 18, 1980 Mt. Saint Helen erupts killing 57 people located in Washington. The land where the mountain once stood caused it to become a wasteland.
  • First Women in Supreme Court

    On September 25, 1981 the first women, Sandra Day O'Connor, was sworn into the US Supreme Court.
  • Tax Reform Act

    On October 22, 1986 the Tax Reform Act was passed. This act simplified the tax code and broadened the tax base.
  • Bill Clinton elected President

    On January 20,1993 Bill Clinton is elected as the 42nd President of the United States.
  • Oklahoma City Bombing

    On April 19, 1995 Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols explode a bomb right outside of the Murrah Federal Building. This ended with 168 dead.
  • Centennial Olympic Park Bombing

    On July 27, 1996 the Centennial Olympic Park, located in Atlanta, was bombed. One killed and 111 faced injures.
  • Columbine Massacre

    On April 20, 1999 America faced one of it's deadliest school shootings. Two teenage males entered into Columbine High School, located in Colorado, and left 15 dead and 23 wounded.
  • 9/11

    On September 11, 2001 America changed forever when we faced multiple islamic terrorist attacks. Two of which hijacked a aircraft and flew into the twin towers. Another of which hit the Pentagon. This event tremendously unified America.
