    The first legislative house in the early English colonies in a church in Jamestown. They met once a year to make laws that could be vetoed by the governor or the directors of the Virginia Company.

    The first official governing document of the Plymouth Colony. It was signed aboard the ship.

    English Bill of Rights
    The bill granted people basic human rights for freedom of speech and the right to bear arms for defense. The bill also granted people the right to a democratic process, which would limit the Monarch rule.
