    The U.S. Congress approves the first peacetime conscription draft in anticipation of possible American involvement in WWII.
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt is elected to his third term

    Franklin D. Roosevelt is elected to his third term
    FDR runs for his third term and when he gets re-elected this bacame an issue. He won an easy enough election with the support of labor unions.
  • Lend-Lease Act is approved

    Lend-Lease Act is approved
    The U.S. was now able to supply United Kingdom, Soviet Union, China, and France (among any other allied forces0 with war materials during the war. This was basically a close end to U.S. neutrality.

    Citizen Kane was a well organized American drama, that racked in lots of money both in and out of the theaters. The drama was so vewied because of its unique story and theme.

    This was a planed suprise military strike by the Japanese on America's military base in Pearl Harbor. We allowed America to then be pulled into eorld war by declaring war on Germany and Italy's ally, and our new enemy; Japan. Racial tensions to people or Japanese origin in or out of our country spiked. We exposed a cruel and over fearing side of ourselves and put the Japanese under close lock and key.

    This executive order was signed due to Pearl Harbor. We relocated every Japanese American to camps with close servalance in panic from the attack. These camps were harsh and unfair sort of ironic in the fact that we were fighting for the Jewish freedom from Concentration camps.

    Lasted untill March 26, a major battle where the U.S. forces faught and captured Iwo Jima an island from Japan's own empire. This was one of the bloodiest and most violent battles of WWII, because the Japanese would not surrender, only fight to the death.
