    Bleeding Kansas- March 1855 In March of 1855, antislavery settlers rejected the government because Kansas had only proslavery representatives. Because of this, the antislavery settlers in Kansas rejected the government of Kansas and both sides became angry. A proslavery mob plundered the town of Lawrence. After this, Jim Brown led seven other antislavery men to massacre five of Jim Brown's proslavery neighbors. This was important because these two events led to a civil war in Kansas. (McDougal)

    On this day I stared preschool i was four or five years of age on my first day of school. I walked in and i was very scared i did not know anybody and as soon as my mom left I started to cry and i ran towards the door. but the teachquikly closed the door and the door jamed my fingers. and i kept crying the rest of the day. but a person named Ethan Horning calmed me down and we became friends and he helped me pat the first day of schoool.

This law stated that if a slave ran away from his/her owner, the owner could find them and take them back without the need of an arrest warrant. If a runaway slave was found, they could be taken back into custody by his/her owner. This was important because more people were drawn to the abolitionists and their cause.
