    Jamestown Settlement was the first succellful settlement on mainland of North America. This Settlement however was named after King James I and was built in Colony Virginia. The Effect of this settlement was that this event is still remembered and today is a meuseum. Us living in America is the primary result of this successful Settlement.
  • Mayflower Compact

    Mayflower Compact
    The Mayflower Compact was basically the an agreement between the settlers at New Plymouth. They had traveled across the ocean on the ship Mayflower. This compact was built with fair and equal laws. The impact of this compact on United States was that this compact is one of the foundation of the U.S. Constitution.

    French and Indian War or the seven year war was fought between the colonies of New France and British America. This War however was supported by parents nations, France and Great Britain. On the other hand though it was esclated from a regional to world wide conflict. This conflict however, began from Virginia to Nova Scotia.

    War ended with agreement to treaty of Parris. The outcome of this war however, was that France ceded Canada for two Carribean Islands (Value of these Islands were much more to France than Canada). Spain, finally traded Florida to Britain for Cuba and fortunatelly the War ended. This Victory of Britian and gaining of land from France derrived French and Spanish out of American Colonies.

    The Louisiana Purchase is considered the greatest real estate deal in the history. United States purchased Louisiana from France for the price of fifteen million dollars. This purchase impact on United States was that It doubled its size opening the continent's western expansion.

    Indian Removal Act
    Indian Removal Act was signed into law by Andrew Jackson authorizing the president to grant unsettled lands west of mississippi in exchange for indian lands. Even though few tribes agreed peacefully many resisted. Cherokee was moved out forcefully and four thousand of Cherokee died by United states goernment. The impact of this event on U.S. however was that Indians hatteras (especially Cherokee) against Americans increased and many Indian American took this action as being unfair.
  • Abraham Lincoln Assassination

    Abraham Lincoln Assassination
    On April 14 1865 John Booth a confederate and famous acter shot Abraham Lincoln on a play. Five days later however, General Robert E. Lee sourrendered his confederate army and the Civil War ended. The outcome of this event on United States was that many people learned a lesson from Abraham Lincoln to fight for freedom and never give up. On the other hand though seven hundred and sixty one thousand people died.

    World War I was the first World War between the great powers which were assembled in two opposing alliences : Central powers (Germany, Austria Hungary and Italy), and on the other hand Triple Entante (United Kingdom, France and Russia. In the begining era however United States was not involved, though helped the Triple Entante ambigously but did not directly fought with the central powers. However, when Germany started sinking the U.S. ships that carrried arms to Britain U.S got involved.

    The World War I finally ended with death of approximately 70 million people. The Triple Entante and United States gained victory from the War. Treaty of Versailles was signed by the Allies and made Germany pay other nation's damage. The effect of this war on United States was that many Americans lost their life fighting for freedom. Propaganda however, was initialized in Germany and later on used in United States.

    Korean War to begin with was a war between Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The cause of this war was the division of Korea into parts, Soviet Union military occupying the northern half and United State's Military occupying the southern half. The failiur to hold free elections throughout korea was dependednt on the division between two sides. This war however was in the era after World War II and between the Cold War.

    U.S. Involvement ended on August 15 1973 from Case Church Amendment, Passed by U.S. Congress. The Capture of Saigon by Vietnam People's Army in April 1975 indicated the end of the war.

    Fall of Berlin Wall
    The Berlin Wall was a wall that divided Eastern and Western Europe. West backed up by United States and freed government and East Backed up by Communist and Russian Government. Fell when Russian backup of Eastern Germany crumbled and the new Russian president was selected. Impact on United States however was that President of United states went ahead and gave a speech to tear the wall down and the wall was finally brought down, People on the other hand were glad to have anti-comunist president.
