  • Ways to negotiate

On page 7 it says, “Negotiation is a method by which people settle differences. It is a process by which compromise or agreement is reached while avoiding argument and dispute.” Ways to effectively negotiate comes with the listening and communicating skills we learned in lesion 1 of unit 3.

On page 8 it says, “Clarification is an essential part of the negotiation process, without it misunderstandings are likely to occur which may cause problems and barriers to reaching a beneficial outcome." This talks about clarification and how important it is for effective communication.
  • Personal experience

My friend was with someone and the person offered her to do drugs with them and she had to say no because she knew it was a bad idea and a negative thing to do. This was challenging for her to do because she didn't know what the person would think of her if she didn't do it but she knew she shouldn't do it and she didn't.
