    Shortly after the attacks, President Bush made a public appearance at the ICOW and made a speech that the American Muslims are to be treated with respect. however numerous incidents of hate crimes against Muslims were reported in the days following the attacks. There were attacks on mosques, assaults on people; and even worse (although the numbers of the crimes dropped over the years) it's still happening to date. proving that 9/11 is a day that no one will ever forget any time soon
