This term made FDR the first President to be elected 3 times which wasn't the normal two terms. FDR was elected right around war time and it was because of WW2 right around the corner. When FDR was elected he told the American people that their would be no involvement in a foreign war, which he did stand by. Many did not like him being president for the third time. -
