    The Declaration of Independence is one of Americas most valued domcuments. The domcument is mainly stating that we are free. We are breaking away from britian and that we going to be free from their rule.

    The US constitution tells us how the government will run. It also tells us all of our laws and regulation of disipline. It is basicly the blue print for out government.

    Manifest destiny was the expantion of the US moving west. The United States gained much territory including Texas and California and a few other territory's. The USA had to battle Mexico for both Texas and California in 1898

    The Second World War, was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945. It involved the vast majority of the world's nations—including all of the great powers—eventually forming two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. It was the most widespread war in history, with more than 100 million people, from over 30 different countries. The war lasted 6 years and cost the lives of 73,692 American soldiers and 60 million people globlely. Fortunately our troops did not die in vain. We won.

    Much gold was discovered in the Calafornia, many people rushed over there to try and get rich quick.(hence the calafornia gold rush) Between 1949 and 1959 250,000 people moved to calafornia. Some people got rich quick but others never even found an ounce.

    The terrorist attacks of 9/11 were devastating to out country. Thousands of lives were lost When al qaeda took down the world trade center with airplanes. America will remember that moment for ever, but since then we have made a recoverly and it is just a sign of our great resilience.

    Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first humans on the Moon. The Moon landing was a huge deal for america because we were really pushing to be the first country to land on it first. on July 20, 1969, at 20:18 UTC. Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface six hours later on July 21 at 02:56 UTC. Armstrong spent about two and a half hours outside the spacecraft, Aldrin slightly less, and together they collected 47.5 pounds (21.5 kg) of lunar material.
