    Paul Taylor

    Paul was a dancer and choreographer. He was the last living members of the third generation of America's modern dance dancer. He also founded the Paul Taylor Dance Company in 1954 in New York City.

    Alvin Ailey

    Alvin was a dancer, director, choreographer, and activist. Alvin also founded the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He created AAADT for Black dancer to be able to expressed the universality of the African-American experience through dance. Therefore, his dance work consist of a fused of theater, modern dance, ballet, and jazz with a Black vernacular. At the end of the day Ailey's dance work is recognized as one of the most popular and most performed ballets in the world.

    Trisha Brown was a choreographer and dancer, Trisha was also the one that founded the Judson Dance Theater and the postmodern dance movement. She also was an Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She was also named Chevalier dans L'Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the government of France in 1988.
