New York Public School Society formed by wealthy businessmen to provide education for poor children. Schools are run on the "Lancasterian" model, in which one "master" can teach hundreds of students in a single room. The master gives a rote lesson to the older students, who then pass it down to the younger students. These schools emphasize discipline and obedience qualities that factory owners want in their workers.

In order for white America to establish a more "prominent" society, it was ruled in favor that indigenous people be ordered to boarding schools to lose their native language and conform to euro-americas culture and language. Some of the mandates brought forth the native Americans included force to cut their hair and halt the use of their native language.

In 1896, Homer Plessy decided to argue that his equal rights were violated after being told to leave a train car. Plessy tried to challenge this in court but ultimately did not win even after it was pursued to the Supreme Court. It was ruled in favor that the law requires "separate but equal" accommodation. This is what is known as legal segregation in the USA thought the majority of the 10th century.

The 14th amendment would be said to be violated when stating that public schools would allow segregation. In this case, the idea and phrasing of "separate but equal" ultimately becomes irrelevant when it clearly is anything but equal. Although the details regarding how schools would soon later become integrated were not clear until later on, the process in which segregation would be addressed was on the radar.

The Title IX law was passed as part of the Education Amendments of 1972. What this law offered was mostly equality for women and girls. Due to the mindset that men should only play certain sports, it was determined that this was unjust and unequal to women who seemed interest in participating in the same sports as men. This allowed women and girls to have these rights in schools.

Ultimately, this case addressed whether schools should get funding or not get funding based on the attendance of children with undocumented status. Occurring in 1975 int he state of Texas, this was ruled out by the Supreme Court in 1982 as it was found unconstitutional to deny eduction to those especially born in the United States This would affect the children drastically had they not been able to attend public school and offering unequal rights if the Supreme Court would not have interfered.
