  • Entitlement Date

    57 days before the proposed election date, all residents over 18 years of age of respective councils must have enrolled to be eligible to vote.

    Important dates for voters to note in order to vote in the compulsory council election.
  • Close of Nominations

    32 days before the set election date, all candidates must have sumbitted their nominations
  • Close of voting (Postal Votes)

    Voting for residents in council areas with a postal voting system must have sent their ballot papers, to be received by 6pm on the last working day before the election.
  • Close of voting (Attendance Votes)

    On election day, voting centres open at 8:00am and close at 6:00pm. All attendance votes must have been submitted in this time period.
