Thanksgiving (this was the actual date of Thanksgiving in 1985). Dot and Mom eat their Thanksgiving dinner alone. Dot notices she's having trouble seeing for the first time.

Later the same night with Dot, Francis, and Joey. Dot and Francis discuss what Dot's date with Joey. The date happens. Dot returns home very late. Dot is 18 by this point in the play, meaning her birthday is probably somewhere in mid January.

Dot confesses to Father O.O. about drinking, smoking and sex. She admits her sight is "not too good." (p. 39)

Dot argues with Mom about Joey, who unwraps Dot from her protective layers and takes her as she is. They leave and mom is shocked. This was actually a Saturday in 1986 so it fits.

The same night at the zoo with Joey. There are many time jumps in this scene, but the day is the same.

Dot goes to the eye doctor again, and feels that her vision has improved.

Later the same day, Dot discovers her disease can only be passed from mother to child, realizes her mothers lie, and walks out on her.

In this scene, Joey and Dot escape to their new place, the mother has a breakdown of sorts, and Francis struggles openly with her sexuality and conceptions of beauty.

Francis and Dot on the peer talking about their mothers. Dot confesses she took one of her moms shirt because it smells like her, showing that she does miss her mother.
