Scleiden was born on April 5th 1804 and died on June 23rd,1881. Scleiden helped found the cell theory for plants in 1838.

Theodor was December 7th 1810 and died Januray 11th , 1882
In 1839, he extended Schleiden's cell theory to animals, stating that all living things are composed of cells. He believed that new cells form principally outside pre-existing cells. -
Virchow was born in October 13th,1821 and died on september 5th 1902.He had a input in the cell theory to explain the effects of disease in the organs and tissues of the body.

In 1928 Ernst Ruska and Max Knoll made a crude electron microscope which magnified objects only to 17 times there acutal size.
