Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847 to parents Samuel and Nancy Edison. Thomas Edison was the last child born oout of the seven Edison children. When thomas was younger people would aslo call him Alva or Al as a nickname because that was his middle name. -

The Calfornia Gold Rush was a peroid during history which began on january 24 1846, when golf was found by Jmaes Marshall at Sutters Mill in coloma Califirnia. As people began to find out about the gold, Gold miners traveled by sea or land to come find it out for themselves along the side of the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ending the mexican american war. -

Thomas was the youngest out of the 7 chhildren. Thomas's father was apolitical activist from Canada. His mother was a very good school teacher that had a major impact in Edisons life. He had many ear infections which left him having difficultys hearing in both ears. He also got very distracted in school and his teacher concidred him to be "difficult" and prone to distractions but look where that got him now! -

In 1859 Thomas Edison set up his very own chemistry lab. when Edison was a young boy he worked with the Grand Trunk Railroad, and while aboard the train this is when he set up his very own chemistry lab. Even though he wasnt that good in school he was always very curoius of how to invent things so thats why he invented his very own chemistry lab whivh helped him for the future. -

The pony express was a mail service for delivering messages, newspaper, mail, and small packages from missouri accross the great plains and the rockey mountains by horseback and using a series of relay stations. this was there way of communicating before the Telegraph came along. -

Edison moved to New York City and developed his first invention, an improved stock ticker when he became a full time inventor. He also invented the Universal Stock Printer, which synchronized the ways stock tickers acted.to become a full time inventor he had to quit his success of the telgrapher at the age of 22 -

On christmas Day Thomas Edison married Mary Stillwell. M,ary was one of Edisons employess from New Jersey. They worked together at the News Reporting Telegraph Company in Newark. She was 16 years olf and he was 24 years old when they got married on christmas day. also on that day Edison couldnt hold back but to go back to the company after the ceremony to work on his stock ticker. -

Thomas invented the phonograph which was a music player and he later mprovedit and made it cheap enough for the public to afford.Edison was trying to improve the telegraph transmitter when he say that the movement of the paper tape through the machine made a noise that sounded like someone speaking at a high speed. we can thank thomas edison for inventing this becuase without it we wouldnt be able to listen to our favorite music in any way. -

Edison worked together with his staff which lead to there first succesful experaments with a carbon filament lamp in a vacuum which was used as the same material he used for the telephone transmitter. -

Thomas Edison lit up a street in Menlo Park, New Jersey with his first incandescant bulb. This was the first time Edison made his invention public, also during this time Edison stated, "We will make electricity so cheap that only the rich will burn candles." so he was vey confident in his succesfult bulb. the incandescant bulb is a lamp or bulb that is an electric light with a wire, heated to a high temperature by passing an electric current until the bulb or lamp lights up. -

The Statue of Liberty was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdiw as a gift from France to The united States. The torch on the staue is a symbol of the Enlightenment. The Stue Of liberty along with the torch lights the way to freedom showing eveyone the path of liberty. Liberty is Key to her name because it means "enlightening the world" which represnts the french and the Americas to come together and to become friends. -

He filed his very first patent for this machine after he started to work with the western union all of these ideas came to him especially the invention of an automativ voice recorder. Thomas Edison Sadly died on October 18, 1931 in West Orange New Jersey. he was remebered for his many inventions especially for his lighbulbs and just light in genral. he is also known for his quotes the inspires people even today which is, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work", which inspired people to work til the acieve what they want and not to give up
