4th grade a girl told the new kid not to be friends with Elise, because she is uncool. That if she hung out with Elise then she would become uncool too. So naturally she stopped talking to Elise. Another time she had gotten bullied was on the bus last year. She had been sitting all by her self when two boys came and sat next to her. They asked her what kind of music she liked, and asked to see her ipod. When they go it they took it and ran. -
changing yourself
Elise Dembowski's summer goal is to be popular, but she is uncool and has no friends. She spends her whole summer reading magazines, buying new clothes, and just trying to figure out whats "in" for girls her age. -
lunch
Elise made a bold move out of her confort zone. She had dared to sit by some other girls, instead of by herself. At first they just looked at her and then kept on going about there conversation. Elise tried to join in but she didn't know what to say. At the end of lunch they made her take care of everyones trash. -
cutting
Elise thought that she should try cutting herself so she can prepare for when she actually kills herself. She gets her dads letter opener and turns it to her wrist. She cuts. She bleeds. The first two times it doesnt hurt. the third time she holds it down on her wrist harder, and it hurts. Immediately after she put her wrist under running water, everytime she took her hand away the more it bleed. She put a bandage on it so it would stop bleeding, but eventually the blood had seeped threw. -
first day of school
Elise's first day of school was just like every day of school she had before, Just because she changed her look and knew a little more than she did before, doesnt mean people started liking her, -
afterschool
Elise had relized that she was never going to be popular, no matter how much she tried, no matter how much she changed. She thought that no one would ever like her. She made a big life changing decision to commit suicide. She put a lot of thought into how she would kill herself. Then she relized she shouldnt kill herself yet because she doesnt know how long it would take to die, and her dad might walk in and try to save her. She had to make a whole playlist so she wouldnt be dying in silence. -
the call
Soon after elise cut her self she picked up the school directory and called Amelia Kindl, a girl she barley knew, and told her what she had done. Amerlia, freaked out, had called the cops and soon they and her mom and dad (who were divorced) had all shown up at her house. -
Elise's own start
With her parents permission, Elise got to go to her first gig. Everyone was there, Vicky, her band, Pippa, Emily, Amelia... well everyone except Char. The night was still perfect. Elise was somebody. She was having fun, and was actually liked who she was. -
The begining of start
7 months later around midnight on a thursday night, Elise decided to take a walk. She had ran into seeing 2 girls, pippa and vicky. They had shown her this night club called sart. Even though elise was underage the security guy, mel, had let her go in. -
Start
Elise is in a night club. There were so many people there dinking and dancing. Pippa and Vicky had intoduced Elise to the dj, char, who pippa was obviously in love with. Everyone danced. and pippa passed out, which happens a lot. Elise thought she had been left out again when pippa handed her her beer to hold while pippa danced, so elise had left. Before she left she seen char changing the song. he seemed so into, reading the crowd. -
Start again
Elise really liked start, so she investigated on when it happened. She had figured out that start is only on Thursdays. She lives with her dad on Thursdays, so she would need to figure out how to live with her mom on those days. She just flat out asked her dad if she could go to her moms every thursday, and because he wanted her to be happy, he said yes.
Start was amazing that night, Elise had officially met the dj, char, and she could see why pippa was in love with him. -
DJ Equitment
Elise liked how Char was a dj. She thought it looked cool. Playing all the songs you love for people. That people actually like it, and your making them happy. Elise asked her dad to buy her dj equitment, and he did. She practiced all night long. -
DJ Elise
At start Pippa had passed out and Char needed to help her, so he let Elise DJ for a couple minutes. She was pretty good. Char noticed she was good, but not perfect. He offered to give her DJing lessons sometime. He also offered to drive her home. On the way there they talked about him and pippa, how he doesnt really like her like that, he only had sex with her because she is hot and now pippa thinks there together. -
New Friends
Pippa had moved into her moms house, beaacuse they said she was partying to much. She was no longer in town. Vicky needed someone to hang out so she started hanging out with Elise. Also Elise had starting to get lessons for Char for DJing. -
Elise suicide blog
Meanwhile at school, some one had made a fake blog of Elise being suicidal, saying how she feels and how she wants to kill her self, and that shes better than everyone else. It is horrid. It has a ton of suicide teqniques and all her classmates have read it, and all think that she wrote it. Who could've done this to her? the only people who knew was her, her parents and Amelia, who obviously didn't write it. -
School Friends
Chava and Sally are Elise's friends at school, who are really worried about her since they think that fake blog of her is real. They ask a guy to ask out Elise, but Elise turns him down because she doesnt need them to find her a boyfriend. She has Char. Even though there not officially dating, they hang out and kiss. -
Good news or bad news?
The owner of the club has seen Elise be a DJ and has asked her to DJ on Friday nights, and have her own night. That was fantastic new, right? Char would be very proud.She cant immediatly say yes though, she is only 16, she has to find a way for her to be at her moms on Friday night too. Pippa has returned, and is more mad than ever. She found out about Char and Elise.
Elise trys to tell Char about her good news, but he was busy trying to calm down Pippa. -
Worlds Collide
Elise was just getting to start when she bumped into her father at the door. He told her why he was there. He had recieved panicked call from Amelia, saying she didnt know how Elise was doing. She directed Elise's dad to thhe fake blog and it had said Elie's was going to kill herself tonight. -
Elise is not a blogger
After lunch the princible had taken Elise into his office, and had some news for her. When the entered the first thing she saw was one of Amelias friends, Marissa. She was a documentary girl, who Elise didnt even know. She wrote it because she said it would help her practice getting into other peoples mind sets. Later a popular girl, Emily, had told Elise she told on Marissa. Since she did that, she wanted something in return. To be able to go to the night club Elise was DJing at. -
Elise is in the news
Elise's parents were going to go to the princible the next day to try and investigate and see who this fake blogger was. That morning Elise came to the kitchen and had seen herself on the newspaper. It had a picture of her DJing and actually looking cool, apperently. That day everyone at school had noticed her in the paper, and at lunch everyone had gathered aroumd her and listened to her storys. Elise was popular.
