The cassete is titles 13 reasons why. at this point Clay is remembering the few moments he had spent with Hannah, wondering why he could possibly be on this cassette, and wondering what the cassette is about.

    Clay has started to listen to all the tapes. He reconigzes every person she has mentioned so far. (two people, Alex and Courtney.) While he listens to the tapes, he follows the map that came with the cassette player. He visits alex's house, and the house in which an important party took place.

    At this moment, is telling the reason of why Tyler is in the cassettes. He is a peeping tom, and would take picture sof Hannah through her window at night. He thought she didn't know but she did, and it was just too awkward when he asked for a ride home from a party.Clay continues to follow the map and ends up at Tylers house. He sees that his bedroom window is smashed, and he has the urge to smash it too. Marcus is there trying to coax him to do it.

    It is close to Valentine's Day and Hannah takes a survey to see who she gets matched up with. Marcus calls her to tell her she was number one on his list. They plan tpo go to Rosies together. Marcus shows up more than half an hour late, and he tried to do things to Hannah.

    Clay's mom brings the rest of the cassetes to Rosies Diner for him. She leaves him there because he asks her to. The 4th cassette is about someone named Zach. He tried to comfort her after what happened at Rosies, but she ignored him, He then stole her paper bag of encourgments. The next tape is about Clay.

    Clay was Hannah's very first important kiss. Clay like her alot, and turns out she liked him. She thought they had a thing, that they would end up being together. But according to her tapes, Clay just outof nowhere stopped talking to her. She felt as if he was just another person who had given up on her, who had thought the worst of her. She was done with all these people just using her for a little and then dropping her like a rag doll. Clay thought this was unfair, but he felt horrible.

    She now is describing the story of why Bryce is in her story. He had raped her. They were at a party and he got her drunk and abused her. She remembered the whole thing and Bryce denied anything ever happened. She wanted to tell the cops but nobody believed her. She concludes her tapes and says goodbye. Clay returns to school, never looking up from the ground. He hates everyone on the tapes including himself. Thebook ends when Clay says hello to Skye, his 8th grde crush.
