Orville was the fourth child of all of his siblings. He was born in Dayton, Ohio. His younger sister, Katherine was born on his birthday two years later.

As kids Wilbur and Orville were inseparable as kids and adults. Wilbur was smart, and enjoyed going to school. On the other hand, Orville was the younger, mischievous brother who would rather stay at home than go to school.

Although both brothers had an education, it was to an extent. Both Wilbur, and Orville dropped out of high school, but for different reasons. Wilbur quit because he had a serious facial injury due to playing hockey. Orville dropped out because he wanted to start his own printing business.

Wilbur and Orville start their own printing business. The business was in Dayton, Ohio. Around this time was when they started refering themselves as "The Wrgiht Brothers".

Although the exact date can't be found, shortly after their printing press, they started their own bicyle shop. The Wright Company was made to repair, build, and sell bikes.

After creating The Wright Company,Wilbur and Orville slowly get intrested in airplanes. Reading several books about the aircrafts, they decided to start building airplanes in Dayton, Ohio to see how they work.

Before actually building their airplanes, Wilbur and Orville made kites that would look like the planes they were to later build. They made these kites, so they could see what was right, and what needed to be fixed.

On December 17, 1903, The Wright Brothers fly for the first time in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. What first influenced them to fly was, when they were younger their father gave them a toy helicopter, then they started reading about the aircraft.

To show people around the world what they have done, Wilbur decided to go to Europe to show off their plane. While Wilbur was in Europe, Orville stayed in the United States, and traveled here to show people the new air plane.

In 1905, Orville Wright donates the Flyer to the Smithsonian. He gave them the Flyer so everyone could have a chance to see their amazing invention.

After living a long life Orville Wright passed away in 1947. Orville died in Dayton, Ohio of old age.
