Four coordinated Terrorist attacks by the Islamic group al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001. Two of the planes hit the North and South Tower of the World Trade Center. One plane hit the Pentagon, and another plane that was headed to Washington D.C. crashed in Stoneycreek Township after its passengers tried to regain control from the terrorist. The terrorist specifically chose planes that were headed across the country so that they would be full of fuel.
