    Meghan Rowan is born to Bill and Kris at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C.. She was welcomed by older sister Hailey.

    Around three months of age, Meghan undergoes surgery to remove excess skin tags in her face. While in the hospital, she receives a makeshift baptism from the hospital chaplain. The surgery is a success and everything heals properly.
  • First Vacation

    Meghan takes her first vacation with her parents and her older sister to Bethany Beach, DE. She celebrates her first Fourth of July surrounded by her grandparents and uncle and his fiance. The family celebrates as most American families do with a barbeque. She hoots and hollers when her uncle's unfamiliar fiance tries to hold her. She reaches for her mother to hold her.

    Meghan begin's preschool at Trisha's School, a neighborhood preschool. Meghan has a very easy-going temperment and has no trouble getting along with the other children at school. Meghan is very steadfast in what she wants and when she wants it. She will not leave for school unless her mother lets her bring a book with her for the ride.

    Meghan excels in school. She enjoys working hard and producing work better than her classmates. Times when she fails to succeed or meet her own expectations, she is very disappointed in herself. It applies in both school and out of school activities, like swimming, where both she and the coaches have high expectations for her performance. Although her parents are proud of her as long as she is doing her best, Meghan is very hard on herself when she doesn't feel she has succeeded.

    In the winter of her sophomore year of high school, Meghan decides that she isn't happy at her current high school and decides to transfer back to Holy Child, where she attended middle school. As her continues to become comfortable with her identity, she realizes that Visitation is simply not the right school for her, and wanting the best for herself, she initiates a change. She takes on leadership roles at her new school, as Student Body Vice President and captain of the Varsity Swim Team.

    Meghan graduates from high school and gets ready to begin the next stage of her life. She will have increased responsibilities and independence when she moves out in the fall to attend the University of Virginia, where she plans to pursue nursing. She knows that college will be a considerable amount of work, but working toward a career makes the work worthwhile.
  • The Real World

    The Real World
    Meghan graduates from UVA. She already has a job at Georgetown University Hospital lined up when her sister falls ill. Meghan must leave her long time boyfriend and move to Seattle, where her sister lives. Meghan struggles to form new relationships while out in Seattle. Her sister soon recovers and Meghan returns to D.C. to start her career as a pediatric intensive care nurse.

    Just Married!
    Meghan gets married! After dating for almost two years, Meghan marries Bob. They get married at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, as is tradition in both her own and Bob's family. A typical Western wedding celebration ensues, with a festive reception. Attaining intimacy furthurs Meghan's development.

    After successfully sending her three children off to college and furthuring her education, Meghan really feels accomplished. She has helped to better the lives of all of the patients she has helped as well as her own family. She really feels like she has a purpose in the world. She shares her satisfaction with her husband, who is slightly disappointed with his current job situation. She points out how far he is come, which makes him feel much better about where he is now.

    After a wonderful life together, Bob loses his battle with cancer. Meghan is left alone in her house, now that all of her children have moved out. She falls into a deep depression, feeling that her life has really been a failure. With the encouragment of her children and the love and affection of her grandchildren, Meghan recovers and begins to work in a school infirmiry several times a week to interact with people and feel like she is contributing to the world.

    Meghan Rowan Passes Away
    After living a very full life, Meghan dies a peaceful death in her sleep on a snowy January night. She is survived by her three children. Her funeral takes place at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, the church where many years before she was wed to the love of her life, Bob. She was cremated and had her ashes scattered in the Atlantic Ocean.
