Ch. 1
The book starts when Chloe was still a kid and her parents was out and she was left with a babysitter named Emily. She used to like going down to the basement and talking to her nice ghost friends except Mrs. Hobbs. Mrs. Hobbs scared away her nice ghost friends and since then Chloe does not like going to the basement. -
School
Then it flashforward to the present where Chloe is 15 years old and she lives with her Aunt Lauren.She goes to an Art school. She skipped classes to put red streaks on her blond hair she does this in the school bathroom. Then when she was done, the hallways are empty since everyone is in class and a custodian whose face is almost melted off of his face popped out of nowhere and she freaked out and ran around the school trying to escape the custodian. -
Lyle House
Because of the incident in the school she was sent to the Lyle house a place for "troubled teens" -
Meet simon and other lyle kids
She meets the other kids Tori who has a huge crush on Simon and is Queen B, Liz her roomate, Simon who is always nice and cheerful and his foster brother Derek whos is almost serious and grumpy and Rae who has a thing for fire. -
Schizophrenia
All the kids in the Lyle hosue are expected to have a daily meeting with Dr. Gill to have a theraphy session and she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and she does not believe this at all. -
Liz was sent away
Chloe's roomate was sent away to get help but then the next night when Chloe was worried about Liz she saw Liz seating on her bed Chloe thought that Liz was back but then when she was about to touch Liz, Chloe's hand went through Liz. Liz freaked out and dissapeared. -
Derek told Chloe to search Necromancer
Derek told Chloe that he thinks that shes a necromancer someone who could see and raise the dead. Chloe told him he was crazy -
Chloe believes
Chloe saw another ghost and Liz again so she finally considering what Derek told her and she thinks that the medicine that they are giving her are interffering with her seeing ghosts. -
Chloe wakes up the dead
Chloe woke up and find out her situation. She panicked and accidentally raised the dead. She tried to get away but shes tied up and could not get away. Derek saved her however.
The other people of Lyle house found them together and came to a conclusion that they liked each other and were doing stuff. -
Probation and Witch
So chloe and Derek were under probation. However they would still meet up late at night to figure out everything that is going on. She asked derek to help her raise the dead again and this time she raise a witch. The witch told them that the orginal owner of the Lyle House gather supernatural kids experimented with them before killing them. -
Have to escape
Derek and Chloe decided that they have to get out of there as soon as possible. The group of kids that are gonna escape are Simon, Derek, Chloe and Rae. Tori knows about the escape but doesnt wanna join or care about it. -
Derek
On the night of the escape Derek was nowhere to be found. Chloe convinced Rae and Simon to go ahead while she looks for Derek. She found Derek laying on the ground curled up in the ground changing from human to a werewolf for a couple of times. Then the people from the Lyle house found them but they were able to escape and meet up with Simon and Rae. -
Aunt Lauen
They were being chased and shot with tranquilizers. Simon and Derek told Rae and Chloe to go ahead while they distract the people that are chasing them. Rae told Chloe to go to her Aunt and show her the evidence the Lyle House is after them to kill them. -
Betrayed
Chloe went to Aunt Lauren to tell her everything that is happening. However next thing she know was she woke up in a bed in a cell, she founds out that her Aunt betrayed her and is not there to help them so she asked for Liz ghost again to help her escape. -
Tori locked Chloe in the basement
Chloe and Simon are starting to get closer with each other and Tori thinks that Chloe and stealing Simon from her.
So she pretended to be friends with Chloe and apologize for being so mean to her and Chloe accepted this. Tori asked Chloe to go with her to the basement and when they got there Tori knocked out Chloe with a stick and gag and tied her up and locked her up in this secret doorway in the basement.
