Chapter 14 is a flashback from 3 summers ago. Belly brought her friend Taylor with her to the summer house. Taylor had always been the pretty and social one out of the two of them. Almost instantly Jermiah catch an eye for Taylor, and Belly regrets bringing Taylor with her.

A new flashback from the summer Taylor visited Belly at the summer house. Belly still regrets bringing Taylor, and her mind does not change when she realize that Taylor gets invited to hang out with the boys without Belly. Belly decides to find Taylor and the boys, and goes down to the boardwalk on the beach. To Belly´s biggest surprise, she finds her own brother and Taylor kissing on a bench. Belly gets really mad over both her brother and Taylor.

A new flashback from three summers ago. Taylor, Belly, Steven and Jeremiah plays truth or dare, out of Taylor´s request. Jermiah is dared to kiss a girl in the room. To both Taylor and Belly´s surprise, he kisses Belly instead of Taylor. Belly gets mad because Jeremiah only kissed her to get Taylor jealous, and also because her first kiss was over a game of truth and dare.

Belly, her brother Steven, and her mother arrives at the summer house in Cousin Beach. They meet The Beck boys, Jermiah and Conrad, and their mother, Susannah. The Becks are familyfriends of Belly´s familiy. They spend every summer together at Susannah´s summer house in Cousin Beach. We learn that Belly have always had an eye for Susannah´s oldest son, Conrad.

From the moment Belly steps her foot out of the car when she arrives at the summer house, she notices a change in how the boys looks at her. Belly has always been the only girl, and was often left out by the boys, however this summer is different. The boys seems more intrested in spending time together with Belly.

Belly reflects on her parents divorce, and we get to learn more of Bellys childhood. It seems like Belly does not have a close bond with her father. She lives together with her mother and have a closer bond with her. Belly still misses her father, and she has a dream that they will end up together some time.

Steven leaves the summer house to visit universities together with his and Belly´s father. Even though Belly and Steven often fight, Belly finds herself missing him a lot.

Its 4th of July. Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah is invited to a bonfire party to celebrate. This is the first time Belly is invited to the party, while the boys has been there almost every year. Belly notices a boy she finds interesting at the party. She soon gets to know his name is Cameron, and they become friends.

Cameron, or "Cam", and Belly spends a lot of time together, and Cam invites Belly on a Drive in- movie date. Belly finds herself a bit disappointed because Cam never tries to kiss her, however he kisses her in the car afterwards.

Cam realizes that Belly has feelings for Conrad and is convinced that she is just using him to make Conrad jealous. Cam ends up leaving after they had a discussion, and Belly is not sure if she should stay in touch with him or not.

Jeremiah and Belly has spent a lot of time together throughout the summer. Jeremiah suddenly confess that he has chaught feelings for her. Belly finds this difficult because she has feelings for Conrad.

There is a strange tension in the summerhouse, and Belly decides to confess her feelings for Conrad before the summer is coming to an end. Conrad rejects Belly, and suddenly becomes aggressive. It breaks out a fight between Jeremiah and Conrad, and Belly realize that it is something going on that she does not know of.

After the fight between Jeremiah and Conrad, Susannah breaks up the figh. She confesses that the cancer is back and that she is sick again.

After Susannah´s confession, the tension in the summer house had been sad and depressing. Belly decides to go down to the beach and comfort Conrad.They eventually kiss.

Belly is back in Boston. Its´s winter, and she just got of a phonecall with Conrad. He is in Boston, 5 hours away from where he lives, and he is waiting for her outside her house. The book ends with them going on an adventure together.
