    Copernicus was an astronomer the started a theory. The theory was that the center of the sun is the center of the universe. As well we move around the sun and not the sun moves around us. He published his theory in 1543, but not many people believed his theory. This is due to the fact that he didn't have instruments to prove that he was telling the truth.
