Paracelsus mixed medicine with Alchemy, he saved the leg of a famous printer Forbenius: Paracelsus created what was at the time called potions/remedies. Paracelsus then states there are three elements that make up the world : Salt Sulfur and Mercury -

Priestly and Lord Sheldon went to Paris they met Antoine Lavoisier, Antoine learned about Priestley’s experiment redid the experiment backwards and realized that the new element was oxygen giving it its name and freeing chemistry of Phlogiston. -

Lavoisier was executed he was found guilty of conspiring against the people of France. Lavoisier was the first scientist to define what an element was, he created a list of elements and divided them into 4 groups gases, nonmetal, metals, and earths, it was not completely correct but a big step forward. He also changed the elements names to become more universal. -
