-Rosa was coming home from work, went onto the bus and sat in the seat behind the white section. On the way home th ebus driver saw that a white man was standing and there were 3 blacks sitting. The bus driver told her to move and she said no. The NAACP backed her up in court challaging segrigation -
-9 black children wanted to go to an all white highs school in Arkansas. The known rasist govrnor ordered troops to prevnt the 9 from entering the school. Eisenhower orded the 101st airborne national guard in and defended the 9 foor the rest of the year.

- 4 friends sat at a dine in bar and asked to be served some coffe, they were denied questioned why they could be served at the checkout counter but not sitting down. They sat there until the resterant closed and veryday after until they were served. This started a movemnent of peaceful sit ins.

-The SCLC walked US Highway 80 to Montgomery. When the group bent down to pray 200 state troopers attacked and left 70 African Americans hopitalized and many more injured. eight days later there was a prosal for new voting rights.
